Animal planet

The world was never an equal place. Every specie in this world has a prey and it in turn is a prey for stronger specie. Yet, nowhere within one specie the disparity is so much as it is in the case of mankind. Consider this – UNDP states that the world’s total GDP in 2004 was $40.85 trillion, out of which the 30 countries that form the OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development) account for $33.03 trillion; 102 developing economies accounted for $8.35 trillion; and the combined 45 sub- Saharan African countries accounted for a mere $498.5 billion (nearly equal to USA’s defense budget of 2005).
